This project started in conjunction with the antonym series, after the birth of my son. I was suddenly immersed into this happy, youthful, innocent, and very colourful life, by having an infant. I started thinking about the psychology of colour, and how it has such a strong impact on our mental health, and why so many items associated with infants use a wide spectrum of "happy" colours. Using my education in both psychology and interior design, I already had an understanding of psychology and colour., and knew that certain colours can affect metabolism, blood pressure, feeling, mood, eyestrain, and evoke certain emotions. I wanted to create art that exposed a happiness in others, much like colourful children's toys do in children; a pure, fun, innocent form of happiness.
